A minor car scrape that ended better than expected

I ended up needing Bumper Scuff repair after a tight parking mishap, but what followed was a surprisingly smooth fix that left my car looking neat again.

It happened near Sheffield Train Station on a typical day out, where I misjudged a low barrier. The scratch looked more obvious in daylight, and I knew it needed proper attention sooner rather than later.

Later that evening, I started checking a few sites and came across AutoScratch. The process felt simple to follow, so I sent over a few photos of the damage and got a fair quote within a short time. Booking was quick to arrange, and I appreciated how flexible the timing was.

On the day, the technician arrived as scheduled and began with a thorough clean of the area. Then came the initial prep work, which made the scratch less visible already. A bit of repair compound was applied where needed before moving to colour matching. Watching the shade comparison was interesting since they worked to ensure it looked consistent. The blending stage was handled with care, and finally everything was buffed out to bring back the shine. The whole process felt methodical, and there was no read more rush despite it being a mobile visit.

By the end, the area looked very well restored, and unless you knew where to look, it was hard to spot anything had been there. I liked the time saved avoiding a garage visit and how quickly it was all completed. That said, I do think this kind of service is more appropriate for light scratches rather than anything too deep. Still, for what I needed, it felt like a practical solution, and I drove away feeling relieved.
